What is this service?
Aimed at alleviating the negative impacts of loneliness on mental and physical health, the Care Friends Befriending service is for anyone feeling lonely, socially isolated, or anxious about the Coronavirus. We are able to work with people over 18 years old, but we find that elderly people find the service highly useful. Our befrienders are not counsellors, but are trained to offer a friendly voice you can trust, for friendly conversations and giving a listening ear. All conversations are completely confidential, and privacy is always protected.
